Liggett Bought A Wrecked 1999 Tahoe K1500 For $600! What’s The Plan?

Sometimes the smart move is buying just the parts you need for a project, but sometimes the smarter move is buying a whole donor vehicle. The latter is riskier sometimes, and has been known to cause a few headaches, but when Liggett started realizing the engine in his winter beater K1500 truck was going south he needed to start finding a replacement engine. What he found was expensive rebuilds and such, until he happened upon this totaled out Tahoe with all the right parts! Check it out and see if you think this was a smart purchase or a rabbit hole he doesn’t want to go down.

I think he’s going to come out ahead on the deal because the Tahoe has a bunch of parts that can come off of it that will be easy to sell. Check it out.

Video Description:

We bought this ’99 Chevy Tahoe 4×4 for $600! It got side swiped HARD!! Wrecked bad! It has a Vortec 350, a new 4L60E trans, a non working transfer case. Was this a big mistake purchase? We test drive it after we bought it. Real smart. The totalled Tahoe does have some redeeming qualities. It came with a bajillion air fresheners. WTH? It has oil pressure when the engine is up to temp. Something our winter beater 1990 Chevy K1500 pickup doesn’t. The 4L60E isn’t blown up…yet.
