Someone In Your Life Love Big Oly? This Forthcoming Acme Die Cast Replica Would Do Them Good!

Normally we like vouching for stuff that we have personal experience with here. Parts that either we or our friends have used. Brands that have been accepted as quality and continue to carry that legacy on. This is one of those things. Does someone in your life love Big Oly? Boy do we have the Christmas gift for them! Acme Diecast is coming out with another of their awesome recreations and this one is of the iconic truck that Parnelli Jones and Bill Stroppe changed the world of off-road racing with in the 1970s. As we and everyone else has told you over the years, this was a second version of a Bronco that Jones and Stroppe raced. The first was based off of a factory frame and Big Oly was an advancement as the thing had a full tube chassis. The beginning stages of the project were actually started in fabricator Dick Russell’s home garage because of Stroppe’s objections but as soon as he saw this thing he wanted in.

From the Olympia beer sponsorship to the big wing on the top, the truck was a thing of brutal beauty right out of the gate. The guys won the Baja 1000 in 1970 (after winning in 1970 in their other Bronco) fully cementing the legend of the truck which would also compete at other famed off-road races of the era as well.

We’ve experienced these Acme Diecasts first hand before. The guys at Acme used a story that was published here with their run of killer 1963 Super Duty Tempests. The example that they shared with us is amazing and detailed and something we are proud to have in our office. If you have an off-road or Big Oly fan in your family, this will definitely be a cool gift to present them with. Take that to the bank!

Check out the Acme website here for all of their new offerings Рthis stuff is awesome

Exactly what I was thinking. This is cool but it does nothing to make Olympia beer any better. That is a disgusting beer!

Acme stuff is junk, I wouldn’t waste my money on it. Only worth half of what they will ask. Look at the mess they made of the Fuel Altereds they make, I have the originals made by Precision Miniatures before Acme bought them out. The PM quality was twice that of Acme and the price was the same. These will be no different, a $60 quality piece for a $150 price tag.
