This Mashup Of A 1986 F-250 and an F700 Truck Is Perfectly Executed And Ready For Dozing Zombies!

Thanks to my pal Brian Medford for passing the link to this gnarly truck along so that I could share it with BangShift readerville. This is a 1986 Ford F-250 body that has been set on a 1994 F-700 chassis and powered with a 5.9L Cummins and backed with what the seller says is an Eaton-Fuller six speed transmission. The chassis has like 34,000 miles on it and the GVW is 26,000lbs. The thing is also perfect looking in several respects where other trucks of this nature fail.

Firstly the body is not all jacked up and wrong looking. This thing actually sits kind of low on the frame and makes the whole thing look even tougher. There’s a whole bulldog thing happening with this truck that I cannot completely explain but that I like. When the tires fill the wheel wells on these things it makes them look better. That’s my opinion and I am sticking to it. The knobby tires on all the corners are cool as well. Yes, some grooved steer axle rubber may be “right” but this looks way cooler. The truck is not 4WD but it sure has the look with this rubber on it. Lastly there is no weirdly bad front bumper. Something needs to go there but whatever it is can be designed and engineered to look cool. Someone with real skills would modify a factory F-250 bumper. We don’t have those skills.

Complaints? Some of you will likely harp on the width of the front axle and the fact that the front tires are completely outside the body. That is a reasonable foul to call but again, there’s a toughness here and if there were massive flares added to the F250 nose it would look horrible. Sorry passing cars, this thing is going to throw junk at you, especially in the rain. Deal with it, suckers!

All in all, love is the emotion we feel when looking at this truck. It would be big fun to row the gears and head down the road in it, right? Check out the photos and then hit the link below them to see the CL ad. We’d love to drive the hell out of this rig!

That’s really well done. The body isn’t sky-high and the simplicity of the overall package is appealing. The only downside I can think of with this truck is that it has no practical purpose. It would be awesome to cruise since it’s very nice looking, but it’s too long to wheel, too high to carry cargo or run a trailer, and too heavy for daily use.

Actually I think it would make a great truck to pull trailers..,..plus looking cool doing it. Depending on engine mods it would be a nice entry for the 2016 Diesel Power Challenge.

I agree that flares on the front fenders would be horrible, but what about some prerunner style fenders with a bit of a bulge? Something that would fit along with the dually bed.
