thanks Dan , we’re 45 minutes from Vancouver and 10 minutes from the border and in no danger at all. But plenty are in the south central interior .Some small towns have been ravaged by the fires . Last time I checked there where 250 fires burning though out the province. Fingers crossed .

Something is wrong here , it’s summer and we’re wishing for rain here in the Pacific Northwest !

ID:	1303210 I’m at that point where I need parts and the money to pay for them . I do have a stainless u-j bend on the way to finish the exhaust. So using what I had on hand I whipped up this cup holder. It has a flange that slips between the shifter and the base . I threw in a couple of dimple dies to make it fancy , lol .

                          • Today was kind of an up and down day .First off , I completed the exhaust but I didn’t actually need the u-j bend that I had been waiting on. However I thought a heat shield for the battery (mounted to the frame) would be a great idea. I made it from some 1/8 aluminum. In welding it together I got 4 good size tacks to hold it together, then I ran out of argon . It’s plenty strong. I decided to mount it to the battery box with a couple of 1/4” bolts. Instead of removing the battery while I drill and tap I thought I’ve got lots of room, I’ll be careful. What a fool ! the smallest nick and I had a waterfall of battery acid pissing on the floor! , did I happen to say that I’m a fool? . So I spent $100 on a piece of stainless pipe that I didn’t need and I have to spend $100 on a battery because I was a lazy fool …… beer time .
