BangShift Question of the Day: What are you interested in seeing from the 2011 PRI Show?

BangShift Question of the Day: What are you interested in seeing from the 2011 PRI Show?

Tomorrow I’m hopping a plane for sunny Orlando to spend the remainder of the week at the 2011 Performance Racing Industry (PRI) show. The show has been running for 24 years and in simple terms is a hardcore version of SEMA. If you show up here with a small block Chevy covered in shiny crap, you’ll get your ass kicked. Parts and technology for everything from go karts to Top Fuel dragsters will be on display and my aim will be to bring you as much of it as I possibly can for the duration of the event on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday.

So now that you know what the show is all about, which is hardcore racing stuff, I’m wondering what you are interested in seeing in particular. Myself, I am looking forward to seeing some of the stuff that does not normally hit my radar. Stuff for the stock car crowd and hard core road racers will be neat to gander at. I am also interested to see how the marketing/displays change for the companies who are at both SEMA and PRI because the target audience, this being a potentially “harder core” crowd is different.

I’ll be wandering the halls of the Orlando Convention Center for three full days, show open to show close. Help me fill up my already busy schedule with some of the things you are interested in learning more about, getting the scoop on, or just drooling over!

The BangShift question of the day is: What are you interested in seeing from the 2011 PRI show?

Whoa, Brian! You’re bein’ kinda rough on Proform.

    Ahhh, you’re probably justified.

Crate engines, big horsepower, ready-to-run crate engines with warranties; that’d be something to focus on.

I don’t want crate, the best are built with parts. I want to see a focus on 2barrel cfm world..that is 1 liter to 2.5..any amount of cylinders. The atomic efi stuff got me thinking. where is the blo through for the little ones? the stuff existed..rehash the past make billions afd further research an evolution where it is already raking it in..

Hardcore OD transmission of the Auto variety. Borg Warner’s new Turbo tech, especially how they tie in stuff like the turbine speed data logging stuff.

Of course any of the Paris-Dakar stuff!
