Question Of The Day: What Is Your Favorite Automotive Wintertime Activity?

Question Of The Day: What Is Your Favorite Automotive Wintertime Activity?

Bit nippy out, ain’t it? It sure is…and chances are pretty good that you might be seeing some snow in your neck of the woods, or maybe there is some ice hanging off of the tree branches where you are at. It’s not good hot rod weather, that’s for certain, but that doesn’t mean that you have to give up on fun altogether…you just can’t work out in the garage all of the time! And that’s what we are asking you for today’s Question Of The Day: what do you do when winter kicks in full force?

Sure, there’s the obvious answers: snow donuts, snow drifting, and the like. Maybe you’ll go out and do a little bit of four-wheeling in the frozen stuff? We would highly recommend it…for the last couple of years, we’ve gotten the chance to take some well-sorted off-roaders out into the woods of Maine to prove the worthiness of some BF Goodrich tires. Or there is the good old fashioned hood sled, which seems to be a lot safer and sturdier than the plastic slabs I remember using as a kid. Or, there was that one year where a couple of Army buddies and I got really stupid and played “crack the whip” in an icy pizza parlor parking lot with a Chevy Blazer…ok, maybe you shouldn’t admit that if you are planning on it. The garage calls, sure, but what else sounds like fun for you this winter?

    A bit nippy out?

Here in England its has been a spring like 13 degrees Celsius so I am deprived of the sight of idiots with zero winter driving skills using the steep hill on which I live as their very own Olympic ice rink.

Living in Northern California it’s enjoying cool clear days driving my SBC MGB in the local hills, just got back from a drive a little while ago. The days I can’t drive it just make the ones I can better.
