When it comes to playing poker, Ford sucks at keeping a straight face, and if you were at the table playing with them, right now is about the time you might want to make very sure your cards are good. Right now, the big news coming from the Blue Oval is that there is a metric ton of good news that will be shown at the 2015 North American International Auto Show in Detroit in January. People were chatting about the upcoming GT350’s flat-plane-crank 5.2L V8 months before it was officially confirmed. It’s believed that a GT350R model is going to debut at the show as well as a host of other badass vehicles. It’s not even known if Ford’s in-house lunatic asylum is still called SVT or if the rumored “999” sub-brand, the one that would be analogous with AMG or M-group has been placed in a position to get working. (The “999” is a tip to Ford’s first two racing cars, both of which shared the same name.) An AWD Ford Focus RS…an aluminum Raptor…an updated Fiesta ST…all have been discussed. And let’s not forget the one rumor that more than a few people are foaming at the mouths for: the exceptionally-secret project that had Ford attending meetings with the rule makers at LeMans earlier this year, that would be debuting for the 50th anniversary of the Ford GT40, Henry Ford II’s upright middle fingers to Enzo Ferrari. All rumored, none save for the GT350R a surefire bet.
