Last month, Chad shared a moment he had while poking around a yard. He found a derelict Chevrolet truck that was pretty much done, that was being saved from the crusher more-or-less just because. It’s an awesome thing to see, and if you drive through some of the more remote parts of Kentucky you can see plenty of this happening. Outside of a junkyard, I call it “yard art”…which is different than the neighbor who has had the ’78 Ranchero up on blocks for years. Case in point is this GMC that I found while checking out the ’36 Chevy featured today. You’d be forgiven for thinking that this is truly the final resting spot for this GMC…this is where it finally gave up the ghost after years of dutiful service, and this is where it shall stay, it’s metal shell now a monument to it’s life of hard work. With paper-thin fenders and a flower garden in the bed, there isn’t much hope of this Advance Design-era GMC ever seeing the road again. But it almost seems a shame to uproot it from where it’s at right now. It just seems…I don’t know…right?

Well, that’s my take on the scene anyways. Quiet country, old truck. It just works. But let’s pretend for a moment that you are the idiot grandchild of the truck’s owner and you have decided that the old GMC has to go. That pickup is cluttering up yard space that will not be utilized by children playing outside or anything like that. What would you put in the ad to get people to actually come out to the middle of nowhere with cash in hand?

    “Easy restoration”
For sale 1950’s GMC truck, already comes with patina and a lowered stance, perfect candidate for the tv show “Sticker Shock”.
