Here’s Your Chance To Own A Hot Rod Based Business Where You Get To Drive One ALL THE TIME!

When Rocco sent this one in man I was excited! I mean would you just look at it? And it isn’t just a car, but also a business if you would like it, and I think you could do one hell of a business and turn heads in a ride like this. After all, with all the stupid Hummer, Excursion, Escalade, and other limos out there, why not have one that is truly awesome. We’d love to see this bastard doing big burnouts, I’m just saying. If you are interested in the vehicle with the business for use in Santa Barbara or possible to relocate… please read both the “Vehicle Description” and the “Business Description” and email or call us with any questions.

Vehicle Description- asking $125,000 obo:

The vehicle, custom built in 2012 from the ground up using the front and back of a 1927 Ford Model T. The vehicle recently had a makeover that cost over $25,000 which includes a new transmission. Passenger seating for up to 8 people with seat belts or potentially up to 12 if you do not use the seat belts (the vehicle is registered as a 1927, so seatbelts are not technically required). Each cabin also has two cup holders. The floor and seating are easy to take care of, the floor is Rhino-lined and the seats are made of quality outdoor marine materials. The doors are faux on the left driver side so access for passengers is only available on the right passenger side of the vehicle which can be opened by a push-button from the front cabin. The limo is painted yellow and all wording, flames, etc. are decals and can be easily removed. It also comes with a detachable aluminum roof with tan canopy that runs from just behind the driver’s cabin to the back of the last passenger cabin.

Business Description
(vehicle and business together, asking price is $150,000)

Fun, interesting & relocatable with lots of potential for growth!

This is a very popular and well-known tour company that has been operating in Santa Barbara for just over 6 years. Santa Barbara Hot Rod Limo (SBHRL) gives tours of the hot points of Santa Barbara from a one-of-a-kind stretched open top 1927 Ford Model-T.

The SBHRL has guest seating for up to 8 with seat belts, AM/FM radio, CD, iPod/iPhone hook-up, USB/Flash drive and is satellite radio equipped. The vehicle also has a built-in PA system with headset for narration and two speakers in every cabin. Each cabin also has cup holders and net holders for personal items. The floor and seating are easy to take care of, the floor is Rhino-lined and the seats are made of quality outdoor marine materials. The doors are faux on the left driver side so access for passengers is only available on the right passenger side of the car which can be opened by a push-button from the front cabin. The limo is painted yellow and all wording, flames, etc. are decals and can be easily removed.

The one-hour tours are narrated (focusing on the highlights of SB) with Beach Boys/60’s Surf Rock type music mixed in. The 2-hour tours stop at the hot spots plus a wine tasting at the end in the Funk Zone. Private bookings are also a big part of this business…kids birthdays, graduations/promotions, and bachelorette parties are the most popular groups. For 2 weeks In December, we conduct the ever popular “Holiday Lights Tours” of the best-lit neighborhoods in Santa Barbara.

The competition for SBHRL is fairly minimal. There are currently 2 other companies in Santa Barbara that offer a tour that is close to ours, however, we are the only “Hot Rod Limo”. SBHRL has a very high rating on TripAdvisor…a 5-Star rating with over 200 reviews, a Certificate of Excellence and we are currently #1 out of 13 tour companies. SBHRL also has lots of followers on social media. We are in a prime location (outside of the SB Visitors’ Center) so we are very visible.

The California Charter Party PUC license (TCP number) for this SBHRL is valid statewide for a sightseeing business and is transferable (pending acceptance and authorization from the PUC).

This business is relocatable because it has the potential to work in many other cities where tourism is high. A great majority of our customers come from all over the world and are not just from Santa Barbara.

Growth & Expansion:
There is huge potential in this fast-paced market. The cruise ship business has grown and there are more than 20 ships per year (and counting) coming into SB. The city of Santa Barbara is a major destination along the Hwy 101 corridor between Los Angeles and San Francisco. The busiest time of year is summer when up to 70% of business is reached. Currently, we offer one and two-hour city tours

Included in asking price for both vehicle and business:

2 months of assistance to new owners

Digital assets – Websites (desktop & mobile), rack cards, signs, banners and transfer of main business phone line.

Transfer of all of our very active Social Media accounts – Facebook, Instagram, Twitter

Includes customer email list and our established review sites (TripAdvisor and Yelp) where we have many outstanding reviews

All websites that we own for this business in Santa Barbara AND for other potential markets in… Las Vegas, San Diego, Malibu and others.

The vehicle, custom built in 2012 from the ground up using the front and back of a 1927 Ford Model T w/ a 351 Windsor engine. Limo recently had a makeover that cost over $25,000 which includes a new transmission.

Businesses are currently fleeing California because of the high taxes and regulations imposed on them. Who in their right mind would want to have a business there?

    What a great opportunity!
    Only $125,000!
    It looks cool-as-hell!

The PERFECT shuttle to get those \”refugees\” and \”undocumenteds\” to their doctors , food stamp grants, housing appointments,-you name it!

    Reimbursed by Cali,of course!

Everyone that is reading this site loves cool cars. The seller has already jumped through all of the loopholes to get the business registered. If someone was willing to hustle and put in some effort they could make a living from this. Nobody is going to pay you to sit at home and complain.

I live in santa barbara county i hade my shop there till nov 2019, i dont think this guy had more than 3 or 4 people in that thing at any one time. most of the time it was just siting and waiting for riders.

It would never be a success in Newcastle upon Tyne where I come from as you could see all the fat ugly lasses leaving trails of vomit all along the Quayside

I can’t help but wonder what the insurance premiums would be like for this business. I mean if this thing ever got hit with 8 passengers riding in it there is not a whole lot of safety features present to protect them (you know like a strong rigid structure around them)
Where I live I doubt you could even buy insurance to cover this business, and certainly not for a price that wouldn’t be crippling to any bottom line.
Cool idea for touring sights in So-Cal though.
