eBay Pick of the Week: Big Block ’69 Corvette SCCA Racer

eBay Pick of the Week: Big Block ’69 Corvette SCCA Racer

Road Racing Corvettes have a special place in our gear-oil-pumping hearts. Especially those of the big-block variety. This car has a competition history and was recently restored by its owner who apparently went broke in the process. His pain is your potential gain!

From the lengthy description of the parts and pieces on this baddie, we’re not shocked to hear that the seller is in the poor house. The aluminum-headed big-block is good for a claimed 650 hp, and the full-zoot M22 with a tilton multi-disc clutch, and a suspension description that contains the word “fabricated” a whole bunch of times means major coinage.

These cars required a deft touch on the track back in the day that they were “new” with all that horsepower and torque and tire technology that was nowhere near what it is today. The owner said it was sorted on the track and then pulled apart and painted to make sure that things were on the up and up. The ad states that it has spent about an hour and a half on the race track so it’s barely broken in!

Click here to check out one killer ‘Vette. The buy it now price is out of our wheel house, but maybe in yours!
