Yes, this is a transmission that’ll run you more than $5,000 in this particular auction (and way more retail), yes we barely have dough for a mighty kids meal at McDonald’s and yes, our Javelin will not be nearly powerful enough to cause harm to a normal transmission. The problem is that we want this thing. We’ll never get it, but we want it!

We have ridden in two street cars that had Lencos and both behaved well and had an ooga booga factor that can be replicated by no other single mechanical part. Liberty and G-Force transmissions are awesome pieces that get the job done, but a single shifter had nothing on this glorious array of levers that a Lenco provides the operator with. You can even pull them in any order you want!

The major foul you can pull with a Lenco is attempting to use the clutch to change gears. That’s a mistake that will quickly lead you to become a former Lenco owner and we don’t want to see that happen to anyone!
