(Words and photos by Doug Gregory) – Its very hard to split our collection of pictures into galleries when we take pictures of everything we like or find interesting. My son still struggles with finding things interesting that aren’t his favorite. The good news about that is he isn’t like the typical 14-yr-old and prefers gassers, 60s B-body Chevys (or just about any 60s ‘boat’), and anything with real history. We have for you here a handful of cars that run at a track near and dear to us – Thornhill Dragway – which is one, if not THE, of the oldest tracks in the country.
There’s a series being run there that’s a 275, run-what-ya-brung deal called ‘Nsane Outlaw’. We went to see a couple of these events last year and really enjoyed the excitement of these cars tap-dancing on the edge. The orange ProStreet Chevy II is this gallery was a real looker and seemed flawless everywhere. We were also intrigued by the black ProStreet Mustang II because you rarely see these cars anymore and even more scarce are home-built versions that aren’t over done. Jeffrey Knott owns this BBF-powered monster and cruises the streets of Cincinnati with it quite often. It’s not a track car, but is strictly for giggles and grins which is okay in our book because it’s being driven and enjoyed.
