(Photos by Bryan McTaggart) – Before being made an afternoon snack by a spider, Bryan McTaggart attended the recent Somernites Cruise in Somerset, Kentucky and blasted all kinds of photos. He’s a Chrysler guy by nature and he has a nose for interesting and cool Mopar products so the stuff he shot at the event concentrating on the his favorite brand is really on point.
This was the 100th ever Somernites Cruise event and boy did the people and cars show up! If the rest of the country ever caught on to what they are doing down in Somerset, the hot rodding world would be a better place. Multiple times during the summer, every hotel room in a 50 miles radius is sold out, every restaurant is packed, and those people are not spending pixie dust, they are spending greenbacks and the businesses in the area love it. These events usually include multiple activities like side trips, dyno pulls, and other stuff to do that keep people busy and happy over the course of the weekend.
This being a holiday weekend and this being the centennial event, it was wall to wall awesome. Enjoy the Mopar photos below. Hopefully they don’t have to amputate McTaggart’s leg so he can go back to the next one! Coming soon…Fords!
