Car Show Gallery: The Tuscon Classic Car Show, BBQ & Blues Festival – Fun In The Arizona Sun!

(Photos by Joe Haber) — How about an awesome trifecta of stuff! BBQ, Blues, and old cars sound like the gearhead holy trinity to us and BangShifter Joe Haber was there to partake in all of it last weekend in Tuscon, Arizona. From the photos that Joe sent us it looks like a few hundreds cars showed up, tons of people, and great weather were all present and accounted for. The cars were as varied as they always are at car shows with a bunch of classes. You’ll go nutso for the 409 powered Chevy wagon in the gallery and Joe claims that the owner of the car says it was factory ordered that way. The hemi powered panel wagon you’ll see is great and the paint work combined with the gold leaf lettering really kicks it over the top.

Joe and I are about the same age, so when we were chatting about these photos he mentioned that the Thunderbird Super Coupe struck him as being particularly cool. It did the same thing for me which is kind of cool because it wasn’t long ago that a car like that may be scoffed at pulling into a car show. It is cool how times have changed and different generations of car guys are all becoming part of the crowd. We dig that.

Joe did a nice job zapping these photos and we enjoyed looking at them as it provided some mental warmth during yet another freezing ass day here at BangShift eastern world HQ!

Two things. My youngest found the tires particularly cool on that Corvette and insisted I take a phot of it. The other is that Super Coupe had less than 50K on the clock and was as clean as any new car on the lot. Even my kids dug it and they are picky SOB’s.
