Our man in Illinois, Greg Rourke has been busier than all get out lately with his camera. After manning the wall at Byron Dragway last weekend, he attended a cool cruise night in St Charles, Illinois at the local Goody’s. The rules for entry into this cruise are pretty simple, own something older than the 1983 model year.
Like all cruises, there are lots of the old time favorites. GTOs, Mustangs, and the like fill most of the spaces, but this one had a couple neat treats. How about a couple of old Hudsons, including one of the oddly cool pickup trucks. The nose on the Hudsons is verging on cartoonish, but they do have a certain appeal, we just can’t put our finger on it.

I have to say that, while I’m not a fan of the Donk look *at all*, I hope the guy with the Caprice was forced to park outside because it was newer than ’83.
Lovin’ the 409 wagon, and the 4.6L Lincoln! Even the turbo LS in the Donk wagon is cool.
The Caprice wagon is always forced to park outside the gathering. But whats with the big turbo LS motor in it? Get rid of the goofy wheels and jacked up suspension and you’d have something. At least it doesn’t have Lambo doors.
