(Photos by Doug Garrison) – Having shown you a couple of great galleries of the cars in the huge corral at the 2012 Spring Carlisle Collector Car Swap Meet, we’re turning our guns to the main attraction of the meet for most people, parts. Despite the rise of the internet, eBay, Craigslist, and any number of small local sites, large swap meets like Carlisle are still places where unobtanium and obtanium alike show up. Pulled from the backs of vans, pickup trucks, box trucks, and station wagons are the components and parts that help hundreds, hell, maybe thousands of people finish their projects.
We have a couple of galleries of the cool stuff that was laid out on tarps, blankets, and tables for sale. This is the first of those. Doug did a kick ass job of trolling the show for days on end snapping these photos. Wisely he has not divulged if he actually spent any bucks on parts and stuff. His wife may be reading this, so we assume that he’ll stay mum. We’ve heard that the only way one leaves without spending a bunch of money at Carlisle is if they run a sheet metal screw through their wallet!
