With a beautiful Spring Saturday looming and no plans to do anything, I was placed on the spot by my wife Kerri to find us an adventure. Being that it is still a touch early in the season to catch a car show, I took to the interwebs and found what looked to be a neat event in Connecticut. The Haul of Fame trucking museum yearly swap meet was the most interesting thing I could find that was going on in a part of the world we had never seen before, so the kids were loaded into the car and we headed southwest to Plainfield, CT to check this event out.

As it turns out, we had a great time. The swap meet wasn’t the biggest we’ve ever been to, but it had some ultra cool stuff in it, especially the old toys. As you’ll see in this gallery, there were cars, tractors, lots of old parts, toys, and neat old tools to boot. The one feeling we came away with is that the toys our kids currently play with are total crap compared to the stuff from decades ago. Yeah, the paint on the old toys probably isn’t consumable, but those babies were built to last! The old cars and tractors ruled, too!
