The Pomona Swap Meet is a must attend event for any hot rodder in Southern California, and also attracts folks from all over the globe looking for killer parts, finished cars, or projects. This Sunday we hit the Fairplex in Pomona for the Swap Meet after getting rained out this weekend in Bonneville, and with money in hand went looking for parts and a good time. We hit every row in the Pomona Swap Meet, which is no small feat, and also managed to take a look at some of the cool cars for sale in the HUGE car corral. In our gallery of photos, you’ll see cool cars, trucks, and parts for sale, ranging from signs to intake manifolds, bumpers, motorhomes, and more.
We got there around 6:30 am, which is NOT early for Pomona, and the temp was in the high 80’s by 9am. The crowd was big, the parts were good, and the mood was right for spending money both literally and in our heads as we found at least 100 cool parts or cars that got our brains rolling on ideas of cool things we could do with them. Thankfully our budget was too small to get us into too much trouble, and we only bought a few things for the ’66 Bel Air Wagon project we’ve recently gotten going again. Stay tuned for updates on it in coming weeks. In our Radio Flyer wagon at the end of the show were tail light lenses, a mirror, some ground straps, and a few other odds and ends. Nothing overly exciting, but thankfully we aren’t in need of too many high dollar items at this point, cause we don’t have the cheddar to spend!
If you’ve never managed to make it out to a Pomona Swap Meet, don’t put it on your bucket list, get your ass off the couch and hit the road for Pomona. The next one is October 19, 2014, and you need to come out and join us there. For more information on future Pomona Swap Meets, visit them online at PomonaSwapMeet.com
