BangShift.com member Bobby Kincade tipped us off onto a great interview with ousted NASCAR driver Jeremy Mayfield that was actually done while his personal property was being auctioned off last week. In it, Mayfield is candid and pleads the same case that he has his lawyers pleading for him in court. There is an interesting bit at the end which seems to indicate that Mayfield is looking for a drag racing ride.

This is probably the most “real” interview we have seen involving Mayfield. On some levels it seems as though he is admitting defeat with regard to his circle track driving career, but he still maintains his legal fight. The guy seemed to be in decent spirits considering his was liquidating a large number of his worldly posessions (and those of his wife as well).

Will he end up in drag racing? Only time will tell, but it would probably take on Hell of a sales job with a sponsor to convince them that Mayfield is the right guy to represent their brand name.
