Motor City Motors, a new show brought to you by the same people who did Monster Garage, debuts at 10:00 pm on the Discovery Channel tonight. The show is set in Detroit and will highlight the talent and skills that lie in the population of the Motor City. The first episode will feature the five-day build of a hot rod, which we have learned is a ’26 Model T that the crew stuffs with a blown 460 and takes to the drag strip. Sounds like must see TV to us!

According to a story that was published in the Detroit Free Press, this first build is one of the most tame ones that will be featured on the show. Executive producer Thom Beers told the interviewer that one of the upcoming challenges is to change an Airstream camper into a hovercraft.
