We love Project Binky, and have been following this project nearly since it started. It has been a few years, but the work going into this crazy little machine is one of those things that just makes us want to be better at building cars. In fact, it inspires us to do a lot of things we never thought of in a build. This is one of those that will truly change your outlook on hot rods, race cars, and street cars if you watch it from start to finish.

A couple months ago the boys building it at Bad Obsession Motorsports in the UK, sent Binky off for paint. I honestly didn’t think we’d see anything on the project until it rolled into the shop in a new coat of color, but the boy have surprised us by going through all the running gear and making it fresh and pretty all at the same time. This is how you make the bottom of a car look great. Watch how they do the powder coating, and then how they did their own cad plating in the shop to make bolts and such look cool. This is a neat project and you want to pay attention and learn something.

We hope we get to see the body in paint in the next few weeks, and then go through the entire reassembly process, but in the meantime we’ll take a refresh of all the cool that is going on underneath.
