When the guys over at Iron Trap Garage got ahold of this super awesome 1934 Ford Sedan Delivery, we were pretty excited. They are planning to make it into one of their parts haulers, which sounds perfect, but it’s going to need some work before it can be put to work. The first step is going to be to get it running and moving under its own power, and then they can worry about personalizing it and make it Iron Trap Garage cool.
For some reason, the finds that the Iron Trap Garage crew are able to score just never ceases to amaze me. And not only do they hunt and scrounge for parts and cars that can be saved, but they also get calls and emails from folks all over the country with knowledge of cars and trucks that need to be saved. Or stories and rumors that sometimes turn out to be true. So it should come as no surprise that this recent 1934 Ford Sedan Delivery score would come to be theirs.
And for this thing to just be sitting in the middle of Richmond Virginia. I know that there are still so many 1930’s cars and trucks sitting around out there, but a Sedan Delivery is kind of a rare bird. Not only because there weren’t that many of them made in the first place, but also because they were used commercially you don’t expect them to have lasted. So many of them got run into the ground and then sent to a junkyard or scrap yard.
