Blueprint Engines asked me to come by the shop a few months ago so they could film some tech videos on a bunch of topics that are typical tech calls they get each and every week. The thought being that if we could address some of these on video, then we can help folks with their questions and give the tech support team at Blueprint more ways to help their customers. They shot several videos, all of which you can see over at the Blueprint Engines YouTube channel, or right here as we share them!
This one here is all about installing a distributor and setting your timing, but it’s a little more than that too. It’s tips and tricks so that you can remove your distributor before installing the engine and not worry about how you are going to get it back in and timed right. It’s not hard, requires just a couple of tools, and you can do this at home I’m sure. So check out the video and let us know if you have questions.
And while we did this on a small block Chevrolet, you could just as easily do it on any other popular V8 that has a distributor.
