How-To Build Aluminum Bomber Seats: Part 2- How-To Aircraft Rivet All These Awesome Parts Together

Here is Part 2 of the bomber seat build and in it, you are going to learn how to use badass aircraft rivets to put stuff together like this seat. This is fun. If you missed Part 1, use the link below to see how all these sheet metal parts were made and finished before assembly.

Bomber seats are a really cool addition to the right hot rod or truck, and come in so many different styles from fancy to simple. I’ve seen all kinds and love them, but when they have bead rolled or dimple die details they really do stand out. Ultimately most bomber seats have a similar style, but they can vary in angle and details for sure. When someone like Karl at Make It Kustom builds one though, it is going to be something special, that’s for sure.

This video here is the first in a series on building and finishing these cool seats and we dig it.

During this build, Karl and Elio use his new CNC Plasma Table to cut out all the pieces for these seats and then he goes through the process of using the dimple die and then the bead roller for lots and lots of detail. In part two he’s going to rivet each and every one of these pieces in place. Watch.
