LS Power Recipes That Work: Pick Your Power Level Right Here.

For years I’ve been telling people that if you want to know how to make a certain amount of power with an LS you need to listen to Richard Holdener. This guys has tested more engines on the dyno over at Westech Performance Group than anyone else. Period. Especially because a lot of people want power numbers that are moderate and don’t require special parts and pieces to build. The number of people that come to me and ask about building a 450 horsepower engine and think that means aftermarket blocks and heads and all kinds of fancy parts, is staggering. Building reliable horsepower with an LS is not hard if you just choose the right parts.

And I mean reliable. If you want to make over 1,000 horsepower, it is completely doable, but if you are looking for a 350, 400, 450, 500, or 550 horsepower combo that will live forever this is also a realistic thing for your hot rod, street car, or even race car. In this video Richard will talk about some of the recipes for power and the proven combos that he knows work over and over again. Listen to what he has to say and then tell us all about the combo you put together. Cause we dig it when you share your stuff with us.

I have a 5.3 2WD Rainier and keep debating to modify or sell! I like the ride but it does have 193K miles. To build an old car with LS power or keep the Rainier and go bonkers!
