Dean Weller is an automotive artist who has a bitchin’ shop in DeSoto, Kansas. He’s modified, restored, and maintained a whole fleet of ancient cars at his place, and according to a great story written about the man and his shop, he has turned out a new car every year for the last two decades. The other neat thing? Dean Weller is 81 years old and still going strong.
While Weller seems to prefer stuff that is arond the time period of WWI, and that’s not really our cup of tea, you have to respect his skills and dedication to continue to do what he does. On the last page of the site there’s one photo that is a mind-blower. It seems to us that Weller is constructing the wooden frame of an old sedan body. Great metalworking skills are one thing, but having the incredible woodworking skills necessary as well is just rubbing it in. Dean Weller is certainly an artisan.

Do you have a phone number for Grandpa’s Old Garage in DeSodo,Kanas.My Dad will celabrate his 89th birthday in July.He worked for Ford all of life.In the late forty’s and early 50’s he worked for a Ford dealership in Seymore,Mo that looks identical as the one in DeSolo,Kanas.I am wanting to take my Dad to this garage for his Birthday as a surprise.Any help would be appreciated.
