Normally when we’re tipped off on something that can suck your entire day into a time vortex we share it on Monday, not this week. BangShift reader Gene Stauffer made the brilliant discovery that by using Google Maps Street View, one can take a virtual drive down Woodward Ave during the Woodward Dream Cruise.
This is pretty trick stuff and there are literally miles of cars to check out. The point we’re starting you off at below is kind of in the middle of Royal Oak, Michigan. Choose a direction and click away. If this doesn’t make you want to attend in 2011, we don’t know what will.
As creepy as the whole “street view” function is, this is at least one redeeming quality. You can expand the viewer by clicking in the upper right corner.
