Here’s a video that just may change you life. It may change for the better or the worse, we’re not making any guarantees on that, but it will change. Why? Because this is the first time in the over 11,000 blog items BangShift has published that we’re showing you IN-CAR video from a swamp buggy race in Naples, Florida on the famous, “Mile O’ Mud” that these mean machines compete on. We’re thinking that this is one of the bad ass 2WD unlimited style buggies with a big block in it by the sounds it makes in this video.
The camera angle puts us right over the driver’s shoulder and it is a great watch as this GIRL leads from the start, falls behind, and eventually finishes first in his heat, getting her a free ride to the “Big Feature” at the end of the day and one step away from the glory of dunking the swamp queen if he’s able to win the event. Things to watch for are the moments when the buggy slogs though the famous “sippi-hole” in the course that is several feet deeper than the rest of the track. It just about swallows her up the first time and you’ll see an immense wall of water wash completely over the machine and the driver as she grunts through it. The buggy has a pretty good head of steam through most of the course and it is interesting to watch the line the driver takes on chasing down the leader to avoid being completely in his wash.
