Most drag racing videos center around a single class or genre of cars. Maybe it is all Funny Cars or gear jamming Super Stocks, perhaps a pile of dragsters. This video, put together by our pals at ReplayXD cameras features kick ass footage in cars ranging from Top Fuel Dragsters to Pro Touring machines on the strip. As any true fan of the drags knows, variety is the spice of life in straight line competition. Seeing a wide variety of junk at the track is one of the neatest elements of the sport.
This video is good from front to back but there are a couple of high-def moments that stand out. Pay close attention to the lap that Morgan Lucas makes with the camera stuck to the outside of the wind screen on his Top Fuel Dragster. At rest that lexan windscreen seems like a pretty sturdy pieces. At 300mph it is flopping around like wet spaghetti.
Also of note is our friend Brandy Morrow in the Spectre Pro Touring Camaro. During the LSx Fest in Bowling Green, Kentucky there was a muti-faceted competition that put cars on the autocross, drag strip, and a few other stations to determine the best overall combo. Brandy did a fine job grabbing gears on the way down the track as you’ll see in the video.
