It has been a good long while since we supplied you with some serious dyno scream video. Today we’re getting back on the wagon with that by telling you to click on the video below and listen to the sweet, sweet music created by this 357ci super stock engine that makes its peak power between 8,000 and 9,400 RPM. Knowing how much of a butt pucker situation it is to pull our junk to a mere 6,000 on the dyno, we could not imagine being in the room when someone dropped the hammer on our motor and spun it to almost 10,000 RPM! For whatever reason it seems a whole lot different to rev your junk while driving down the road as opposed to having it run to the stratosphere while sitting on a stand in front of you!

As you are reading this, I’ll most likely be at ATS Diesel Performance here in Denver, Colorado working as the host for the 2013 Diesel Power Magazine Challenge. There will be lots of dyno pulls made, but not one of them will be much more than a third of the revs that this little small block is making in this video, although the torque here will be way more prodigious! We like our horsepower in all forms, be they moon buzzing small blocks or rumbling turbo diesels that make grunt like tug boats. It is all good to us!
