Finnegan Teaches Strong Advice On Anniversary Gifts: Get Her What She’s Wanted For Years!

Gentlemen. How often have you found yourself a month, weeks or even days from your wedding anniversary and are looking straight at the deeper part of a seriously muddy creek because you simply have no idea what the F! you are going to get her? I’m six years in on my marriage and I still struggle to answer that equation, but I have help for you today in the form of Mister Mike Finnegan. Mike has been married for years, to a loving wife who must have the patience of a saint to tolerate not only the car-geek side of him, but also the business side of him that keeps the bearded half of the Roadkill duo out on the road. Mike’s a good guy at heart, and will go out of his way to express that to fans, friends, and the like. But there was always one thing that he simply wouldn’t do for his wife…paint her El Camino.

Well, today is the day that you get to see behind the scenes of what transpired that turned a car most of us last saw on a Roadkill episode into the finished product that it now is. Gone is the original coat that looked like primer gray gone wrong and in it’s place is the original factory color. Gone also is the automatic transmission that had been flash-roasted when a throttle position sensor packed it in without warning. Now packing a third pedal, the El Camino was properly presented to Mrs. Finnegan on their anniversary, and this is the story.

Remember, fellas: Happy wife, happy life.

Guess I need to get to work on a Mustang real soon.

I saw him yesterday and congratulated him on that build (and the secret)…. however, my wife saw that build and asked about the Fiat…. thanks Mike…

That Glacier Blue paint is awesome! Mike’s wife is a lucky woman, or is it the other way around?

Right there is a good woman. I once bought mine an aluminum snow shovel for our anniversary, you know, just to make it easier for her and she hit me over the head with it. Some women I tell ya.
