Grind Hard Plumbing Co.’s KTM-Powered Jeep Is Better Than We Could’ve Expected! Beastly!

I’ve ridden dirt bikes, quads, three-wheelers and street bikes. I’ve driven off-road in everything from a clapped-out Ford Fiesta to a mid-1970s Chrysler product that was beefed up for such fun to true off-road machines. I’ve jumped Chevy LUVs, I’ve drifted a Honda Big Red until a hardpacked field looked like it was freshly tilled up. And I think I’ve found a potential new height to reach to. For the last couple of months, what originally started as a Power Wheels Jeep Hurricane was slowly becoming a monster, a tube-frame contraption with the engine from a KTM making 100 horsepower. Think about that. For comparison, my highway-driving, triple-digit-speed capable Chevy Cruze makes 148 horsepower and I’m willing to bet weighs almost twice what this does.  That means that the mental little four-wheel-drive go-kart is a violent riot even when the engine isn’t running right and they’re barely testing out first gear. Check out the first test drives and keep in mind…this is just a test! They aren’t even close to beating on this thing yet…and once they finally get the teething issues sorted out, this will fly, both over obstacles and down the road.
