New Go-Pro Video Of Felix Baumgartner’s Space Jump Is Beyond Words – Incredible Footage

New Go-Pro Video Of Felix Baumgartner’s Space Jump Is Beyond Words – Incredible Footage

Back in October of 2012, Felix Baumgartner jumped from the edge of space, some 19-miles above the Earth to set the world records for the highest free fall of all time, highest speed achieved by a person in free fall, and the record for the most balls every displayed in human history. At the time there was some cool video of the jump but just yesterday Go Pro released never before seen footage of the jump from cameras ON Felix Baumgartner. You’ll hear the audio as Joe Kittinger (the only other living human to do anything near what Baumgartner was attempting) literally talked him off the ledge. The whole thing looks like something out of a science fiction movie, but it is 100% real.

We’re of the belief that this jump was one of the more impressive feats we’ll ever see a human complete in the time we spend above the ground on Earth.  Everything about it is completely nuts. The balloon ride up, the literal space capsule he rode in, the fact that he had to unhook himself, walk out onto a platform that was looking out OVER THE EARTH and then step off just puts this whole thing in a place where nothing else can really comes close.

The free-fall footage is amazing. You’ll see him hit more than 800mph of terminal speed, you’ll hear him communicating with mission control, and you’ll ultimately see him “stick” the landing. You’ll hear him mention during the fall that he thinks he’s about to pass out. Unlike us, who would have been screaming from moment one, he kind of casually mentions it. This dude clanks when he walks.

AWESOME! Truly AMAZING and obviously very risky. Congrats on such a historic feat to all involved! Thanks for posting as well.

My guess is that he won’t clank when he walks. You will hear a loud THUD when he puts them in a HD wheelbarrow so he can be mobile. May explain how he went over 800 MPH. Just thoughts
