Scott Hall Explains Moroso’s Electronic Switch Panel: Program Your Car’s Electronics To Do What You Want

Scott Hall Explains Moroso’s Electronic Switch Panel: Program Your Car’s Electronics To Do What You Want

The world of automotive wiring has changed dramatically in the last 10 years. Companies like Painless Performance, American Autowire, Ron Francis and more have made wiring your hot rod, muscle car, or race car a much simpler and reliable process than ever before. But now, things are getting even cooler. Programmable wiring systems, like Moroso’s ESP, are now available from a couple of manufacturers and intended to take the guesswork out of getting your vehicles electrical system to do what you want. Now, you can program the switch in your dash to turn on anything you want, or any combination of things you want, in your car at any time.

Instead of relying on a variety of relays and switches and controllers to tell your electric fans to come on and off, or your water pump to start up, these systems allow you to program parameters via your laptop to tell these things when to do what. And don’t think they are for race cars only. No, they can be used to set timers for the headlights in your hot rod to shut off after a period of time, or even more importantly know when you have a component that is working outside of it’s normal amperage and tell you that there is a problem. In this series of videos, Moroso’s Scott Hall tells you how the system works, what levels of control are possible, and gives examples of just how you can use this system in your hot rod, race car, truck, or whatever.

As he puts it, this system makes your vehicle’s electrical system intelligent. This system works much like the electronics in your new car. It know what is going on, and can control the electronic components in your car to make it perform as expected, be more comfortable, be more convenient, or all three.

Check out the video below and just keep watching as it will go through multiple videos explaining Moroso’s Electronic Switch Panel system.

Scott, this sounds like something headed in the right direction. I need an interface that will allow me to run an LS engine in my 2012 mustang. A device that would except the GM sending unit signal and send it to a Ford ECM that wouldn’t know the difference! Someone’s going to get real wealthy when they finally do this!
