Video Bonanza: The Racing in Slow Motion Series

Video Bonanza: The Racing in Slow Motion Series

Every now and again a cool video hits the scene and ripsaws through the automotive interwebs like wildfire. Currently, that video is the latest release in the Racing in Slow Motion series on YouTube. These videos are made by a dude who sees the artistic side of racing and they combine clips from every genre of racing from Top Fuel to GP Moto, to rally. They are set to some subtle and compelling music and literally will have you staring at the screen with a slackened jaw. Watching an F1 car go into an opposite lock slide in super slow motion is breathtakingly beautiful and wonderful to watch.

It is impossible for mere mortals like us to fully understand what it takes to be a professional race car driver in any discipline, but watching this stuff at snail like frame rates begins to show the true brilliance of the drivers we all love to watch. Seeing how they react in real time is one thing, but to see it happen and then have the ability to analyze exactly what the driver is doing rules all.

We’re done talking. Here are the best three installments in the series, starting with the most recent and going down to the first one.
