Happy 4/08! Watch A 408ci, 700hp Naturally Aspirated Ford Cleveland V8 Scream to 7,200 RPM

While we know it is not a factory dimension, the 408ci small block is one of the most popular displacements for hot rodders to built. Guys do Chrysler versions and Ford versions primarily and today we have one of those romping, stomping Fords to check out. This one is not from around the block, though.

Australia is a land of the Cleveland Ford V8. It seems like every guy with a classic Ford down there has one shoved in the front. As such, there are engine builders in the land of kangaroos who are well versed in cranking out big time power from the famously free breathing mill. In this video we’ll see a 408ci Cleveland churn out a tire shredding, eyeball flattening, mechanical symphony sounding 700hp. All that comes from 408 naturally aspirated cubic inches. The sounds this baby makes at the top of the pulls are fantastic.

Plopping this motor into a classic Mustang fastback would be hella fun and dangerous to the good standing of our driver’s license. Then again, with 700hp if we couldn’t run from pokey Ford cruisers, we’d only have ourselves to blame for the trouble. No specs are given, but there’s enough carb on top of this baby to suck a small child in.

Press play at let this 408ci Cleveland grunt and scream out 700hp!
