Winter Workshop: Building The Frame For Grind Hard Plumbing Co.’s Four Wheel Drive KTM Jeep!

As winter progresses and Idaho remains nice and cold, work progresses on Grind Hard Plumbing Co.’s latest pint-sized and overpowered endeavor, the four-wheel-drive KTM-powered Jeep build. There are big plans for this machine, which they are hoping will be the first of their conversion projects to pack more than 100 horsepower. I want to put that into perspective for you…the Chevy Cruze that’s my daily only has 138 horsepower. That little car is just fine for highway use and probably will weigh at least four times as much as this build will. So, provided that you can actually fit into a Power Wheels Jeep that has a real-boy engine where the hood should be, you’ll be in for the ride of a lifetime.

We’re past the cute, pretty part of winter right now. Instead, it’s the cold, gray, damp and muddy part, the crappy part of winter that makes seeing a sunny, semi-warm day feel like you’ve hit the lottery. You really should be out in the shop working right now. Imagine the stuff you could be getting done. These guys are making the most out of being snowed in and will probably have this beast cranking before the snow goes away! Watch as they get cracking on the frame that will support the KTM Jeep!
