In order to protect the innocent here, we’re not going to tell you who the guys were that we talked to. Rental car companies generally treat someone driving one of their cars onto the salt as some type of violation of intergalactic law so rather than risk getting our heroes into trouble, we’ll leave their names out. The tape though. The tape shall remain the same! This is the story of three Ford employees who were just too shamed to admit to driving a Toyota.
Basically these guys came into town and they went hunting for a Ford rental car to drive around. After a prolonged search of the lot, they only thing that they could find that would actually serve their needs was a Toyota Four Runner. Being the loyal guys that they are, there was plenty of teeth gnashing about what to do over their plight and then one of the guys came up with the idea that they could end their humiliation with some blue painter’s masking tape and a Sharpie. This could be the best example of “there, I fixed it” we have seen in some time.
While their handy work can be seen on the front and the sides of the SUV, it is the creative genius used on the back that really sets this work over the time.
Fine job, gentleman!

Chain it to something heavy, and
4wd burn out!!!
Ya, it be so hard for the local rental places to figure this out..
Hay, Rich who rented a white 4 runner and used a ford corp. card..
Great job!
Every time I see a Toyota pickup with T RD on it, I ALWAYS think; the only thing missing is the “U”.
Should have blurred out the tag.
I try to remind myself never do anything that you don’t want someone to take a picture (or video) of and put on the Internet.
Gee, what about the photo of THE LICENSE PLATE?
I imagine this is what Gordie does to the cars or strangers.
So is the crap can rental you had?
