Gallery: 50 Photos of Mopar B-Bodies

The venerable Mopar B-body was produced from 1962 to 1979. In that time it came in many shapes and sizes from the odd Virgil Exner varieties of the early 1960s to the handsome slab sided models of the middle and late 1960s to the swoopy fuselage look cars of the early 1970s. Some of Chrysler’s most iconic high performance cars, like the Superbird, Charger Daytona, and Road Runner were from this family.

As you will see in this gallery, hot rodders have taken the B-Body in a million different directions through their quest for more speed, handling, and general performance. You’ll see a couple with the front ends hiked up in the air at the strip and a few hunkered down over giant rubber, ready to burn corners and munch on German sedans. You’ll also see some very nicely restored examples that are neat just because of the accurate time capsule factor that they exude.

Loved the pictures. Some of the cars I had and some I’d like to get. Like the Daytona. I raced a 63 Savoy for about 10 years.
One little problem. The cop car is a C body. But them things could be on ya like ugly on an ape. Kinda brought back memories of hiding from the law.
