New Product: II Much Fabrication Introduces The Airport – Innovative Bulkhead Fitting Makes Vintage Air Installs Easier, Cleaner, Cooler

Here’s a cool new product from our pals at II Much Fabrication. Called the “Airport” this is an A/C hose bulkhead system that is designed to make the installation of Vintage Air systems cleaner, easier, and slicker than any currently available options on the market. By routing the EZ-Clip hoses through the firewall in one 2.5″ hole and eliminating the need to space things out for wrench clearance, stopping to remove hose ends, and virtually every other cantankerous part of the job, this is a great solution for ANY car or truck.

You can see from the photos below how the Airport bulkhead system works to provide a nice, isolated path that will keep the lines from rubbing on each other or moving around. Also, because of the precision machining of the piece, the hoses seal in each of their respective quadrants of the Airport so during the times of the year when you do not want any “air conditioning” sneaking through the firewall, there won’t be.

It is important to mention that John Ulaszek of II Much Fabrication and Vintage Air’s people had a fruitful relationship on this product. John approached the company and talked to them about the things that their end users were asking about and through listening to what they had to say, he developed this unique, cool, clean, and BangShifty solution.

We think that this provides a clean and professional looking install that will enhance the looks of the engine bay in any car that a Vintage Air system is headed into. Check out the photos and then hit the link to learn more about the Airport from II Much Fabrication.

Ok, this is great. I have recently bought a fuel vent for a car that I am building and it looks like I’ll be adding one of these to the build as well. Great looking and 100% functional. Great stuff.

Make a conduit/ loom overlay for wiring that you can apply after putting connectors on the end and this would be a HUGE win for putting electronics inside the vehicle with retrofit/preassembled harnesses. Definitely makes me want one for my Riviera if I could figure out how to seal it up where the wires and vacuum lines come into the cabin.

LSR fire rating for intercooler coolant lines or similar?

Having done a semi custom VA install on my Mustang I see this as loosing 2 potential leak points in each hose. To get through the firewall now I have a 90* crimp fitting to a bulkhead fitting to a strait crimp inside the car. Times 4 , 2 for water,2 for AC. All that would be replaced if I could just pass the hose through the firewall. Good product.
