Check Out This Awesome, Ultra-Rare, Chevy Small Block 4-Cam, 4-Valve, Overhead Cam Beast From 1971!

There were plenty of overhead cam engines that existed in 1971, including some cool V8s like the SOHC Fords, but there were NOT overhead cam Small Block Chevrolets. Well, not from the factory that is. But how about this crazy cool small block Chevrolet that has dual overhead cams on each cylinder head!?! I dig this bad boy. Yep, it’s a 4 valve head on a small block Chevrolet and I bet it sounds pretty strange but awesome. Can you imagine spinning this thing to 10,000 rpm or something crazier?

This one was put together by a company called Moser and was actually on the cover of Hot Rod Magazine in 1971. They were never available for purchase, as the ones that were finished were prototype and testing models that were designed for Indy car type racing. Man. We could talk about this combo for days, but you need to just watch the video. It’s cool as hell.

I’m a pushrod V8 guy, but there is something really cool about this thing here. Check out the video and let us know what you think. What would you do with one of these if you had it?
