Tony Built a $1000 Turbo Kit for His 6 Cylinder Shop Rig and it RULES! Making This 1983 GMC Squarebody Cooler Yet!

Tony Angelo does some fun stuff, there is no doubt. One thing I love about him is that he not only builds the hot rod and racing style stuff, but also goes for the oddballs, like the 6 cylinder projects he’s tackled. This is not the first 6 cylinder turbo setup he’s done, and after the success of the first one, why wouldn’t he go for a similar recipe on his squarebody shop truck? This thing is a 1983, and came with a 6 cylinder. I know most folks probably don’t realize you could still get a straight six in a Chevy or GMC truck in 1983 but yes you could and this one is great. While most folks would spend the time to small block or LS swap it, Tony is going for the road less traveled and I can’t argue with the logic.

Check out the video and enjoy!

Let us know what you think in the comments. Is it worth doing or should he have just small block or LS swapped it? Let us know in the comments below.
