There is no replacement for displacement! This is a truth that has been beat into us since our earliest days as hot rodders. And it is true. If you take like engines with two different displacements, all other things being equal the bigger one will make more power. And if you add boost to two different sized like engines the larger one will make more power. But what if only the little one got the boost? What if a cheap 4.8 LS, with a little bit of boost, could keep up with all the bigger offerings or even with aftermarket stroker equipped combos? Does it makes sense to do that for your application?
It just might, and this video here has me questioning the life choices I was about to make with regards to powering my latest truck project. Ugh. Richard!!!! I kid because the info is good and saves me time and money and headache because these combos are tested and known quantities. Watch and be inspired.
