How To Rebuild A Holley Carb, Part 1. Keeping It Simple. Anyone Can Do This!

While EFI is the hot topic nowadays, and we’re fans of some of the cool stuff it can do for us, there are jillions of cars and trucks still running around with carburetors on them. I own a couple of carbureted vehicles and they run great. I don’t have to go out and work on them to get them to start and go for a drive. But if you have a Holley carburetor that is old and in need of some love, it can be a little daunting to handle a carb rebuild. But it doesn’t have to be!

In this video from Rebeldryvers Garage, Scott is going to show us how to rebuild a common Holley Carburetor. The process and principles apply to other carburetor models and even other brands, so let this lesson inspire you to get out there in the garage and rebuild yours.

This is Part 1, which covers the disassembly and cleaning of the car and then we’ll share Part 2 on putting it all back together.

Video Description:

Carburetors can be scary to some people. Rebuilding a carb doesn’t have to be hard, or complicated. We use the K.I.S.S. principle (Keep It Simple Stupid) and break down the details that are easy to understand. In part 1, we take the carb apart and clean it.
