Four Digit Stomper: Check Out The Parts And Pieces Freiburger Is Going To Turn Into 1,000+ Naturally Aspirated Horsepower

Everyone has goals, right? Somedays our goal is to make it a full day without covering our shirt in mustard, somedays it is to get some work on a project knocked out, and somedays it is to find cool content to share with you. Well in this case we have the last part handled in the form of the video below. This short piece features David Freiburger talking about the parts and pieces he is using to build a 1,000hp naturally aspirated big block Chevy engine of his dreams. The block and heads come from Dart, and there are pieces from Trend, Diamond, and Victory in there as well.

We love naturally aspirated engine builds and the fact that this one is shooting for the four digit mark makes it even cooler. When you hear of the touches that he specified into the build like the enlarged cam tunnel to 55 millimeters, the fact that he went with the tall deck to fit the rod and piston combo he wants, and the killer idea that this block arrives legitimately ready to assemble are all neat touches that Dart provides.

If you dig engines, check this video out for a mechanical road map to making 1,000hp without a hint of blower, turbo, or nitrous in the air!

I love the 582/588 BBC Chev engines. Man, those things spin up so quickly and love to rev. This should be a cool build!

I bet he’s not using the firing order on his shirt, any takers? LoL

Seriously, sounds like a great combination.
