Ok, ok, it is a total of 25,000hp! This video, put out by the Brazilian engine management and EFI company FuelTech shows, in rapid succession a load of dyno pulls on the company’s Mainline hub dyno. The majority of the cars we see in this clip are “top of the food chain” door slammers. Stuff like PDRA pro boost, Radial vs The World, and NHRA pro modified movers and shakers. Why the hell are they on the dyno? For the same reason people put their street cars on the dyno, to increase and maintain performance.

Most of these cars are not just making power pulls, they are making simulated drag strip passes. You’ll hear the engines come up and the transmissions shift as the drivers hammer the throttle. It is pretty amazing what hub dynes are capable of doing and even more amazing how quickly they seem to be proliferating to different locations across the country. Some stuff is just so powerful that strapping it onto the roller is futile and basically a waste of time.

Our favorite element of these pulls is how the ultra-powerful cars actually pull their front ends up off the ground when they are at full throttle. They come up and hang there until the driver lifts. Check out the strap they have in the floor dedicated to making sure no one gets too high off the ground!

FuelTech is a neat company and they have worked hard to gain marketshare in this super hardcore end of the performance world. They have done it the right way and this video is proof of that!
