Insane Power: Watch This Steve Morris Built Lamborghini V10 Make 3,142hp On The Dyno

Now this is incredible power. You are about to watch a Steve Morris built Lamborghini engine make more than 3,140hp on the company’s dyno and they are still sorting the thing out! The engine uses a billet block and any number of super high horsepower parts like a billet intake and all, but this sucker is going to land in a Lamborghini at some point and that thing is going to be one of the fastest cars in the world…bar none end of story.

You’ll get a good walk around of the engine here, explanations of the various systems on it, an admission that this has been a bit of a bear of a project to get right but you’ll also get a dyno pull to show that it’s not just a paper tiger, it’s the real deal.

During the dyno pull you’ll see the engine abruptly shut down. The safety systems kicked in when the ECU saw a higher than parameters allowed fuel pressure reading. The result is that the thing closes the throttles and shuts down instantly to help save itself if there were any sort of larger problems.

Morris shows the horsepower and torque curve. They are not even curves, they are just wonderfully even rising lines that show this engine makes incredible power from the bottom right to the top of the rev range. Speaking of that. 3,142hp at 8,700rpm and 1,903 lb-ft of torque at 8,600 rpm. Madness!

  1. Tubbed Pacecar

WOW! Info under vid says it’s a 5.2L, so that works out to 604.23HP/L, or ~9.9HP/C.I. !!
