Since SEMA is happening this week, and our coverage of the huge by large show begins later today, we thought it would be interesting to troll eBay for former SEMA display vehicles. There are always lots of cool cars and trucks along with some ghastly junk as well. The is giant mustard yellow Chevy cuts right down the middle. We dig the sheer size of the rig but the chromed suspension is a strong indication this thing has not seen so much as a mud puddle.
Like the old Pro Street cars that would look the part and run 14s at the drags, show trucks with huge lifts and chromed suspensions were often derided by guys who actually used their junk. Outside of climbing over the occasional curbstone and/or flower bed, this truck would probably be out of its element.
What say you? Is this truck totally cool or a total poseur?

Big lift, short&wide tires. Not my thing, but its not my truck.
I like this guys way of thinking…. 7″ BDS lift on a brand new 2010 2500HD chevy. Then hacks the front fenders to fit old school 38″ ground hawgs on 16.5×9.75 chrome wagon wheels!
Then he takes it off road and isn’t afraid to get it dirty!

Looks OK…but the tires are about 5 sizes too small (But thats an easy fix)
Eighty grand is a lot for a truck, and having paid that i think i would keep this thing in the garage myself. Nice enough truck but just a little too rich for my blood. In three years, though, when it is down to about 20k, then maybe we’ll talk.
