Since BangShift began, I have written literally thousands of items here on the blog. We’ve profiled hundreds of bizarre cars and trucks off of eBay and other places, but not a damn thing I have ever seen holds a candle to this. The intention is that this truck would haul choppers around to God knows where. Hopefully they would be places where small children are not present because lots of people would be screaming, “WTF!” as it rolled by.
Sure, you’re thinking it is just a Dodge truck with some ‘glass work and a stretched frame. You’d be thinking wrong. Yes, there is a Dodge truck cab sitting at the front of this monstrosity but a peek into the engine bay reveals just what you’d expect…a GM 3800 transversely mounted V6. Yeah, look over your shoulder and then say the F-word. It’s cool. I have done it multiple times already.
On the positive side the fabrication work on the rear frame looks pretty bad ass. The thing is built like a tank hauler. Depending on what the suspension system is like back there (we’re guessing leaf springs, but there are no photos showing them) this vehicle will have the capacity to carry a bunch of weight. Then again, it may break in half, who the hell really knows.
With the four sets of tires out back we think that some cruise ships have a shorter turning radius, but at least you can fall back on all that bad ass horsepower up front and….oh yeah, you can’t do that.
Bidding starts at $10,000, you have four days left. Someone needs to buy it, finish it, pack it full of dynamite and invite us all over for the fireworks display.
Thanks for the tip Ogre!
eBay Find: A Custom 1991 Chopper Hauler Truck-like Thing
Clicking on the VIN vehicle history rpeport, lists it as a 1991 Buick LeSabre. So it’s a Buick with a Dodge truck front end, NSX headlights and Supra tailights.
Meth, alcohol and head injuries should not be mixed when building customs.
It might have been a good idea to mask the engine before spaying with so much primer, but “good idea” seems to have been on vacation when this demon spawn was conceived.
By the way, check out the doors. They look to be about five feet long; there is no way you could ever park that thing and then get out. You’d ding cars on the other side of the street, not that you could ever parallel park this beast.
WAIT JUST A GOSHDARN MINUTE! Did you not see the Eldorado this guy has for sale on ebay? Puts this thing (and all other vehicles ever built) to shame. I am on my way to the eye bleach station, so I can’t post more about it, but you GOTS to see it.
What a waste of time, effort and materials.
They didn’t even have the decency to use the GOOD 3800 either. That thing looks pre-Series I! Atleast get an L67!
Hah, both customs he’s selling are “80%” done. I wonder why he doesn’t finish the other 20%
He does have a sweet Massy ferguson tractor for sale which fits nicely with the Mustang 4wd blurb above though…
I’m currently in talks with a lady friend to trade a ’99 Integra for her 2000 Le Sabre, good 3800?
As for the “truck?” No.
All that’s left to do is welding the chopper to the back of that “thing” and make flying/rolling watchamacallit (and primer everything of course).
Is it just me or is anybody else wondering what is holding up that back end and what those 8 +/- wheel and tires are attached to cuz i don’t see a rear-end / axle let alrone 4 of them??????????
