Jeremy George recently went to check out the Northeast Classic Car Museum’s summer exhibit which focuses on cars and bikes names after animals, either directly (think Studebaker Hawk) or indirectly (think GTO as “Goat”). The museum is full of all kinds of awesome junk like airplane engines, too!
Jeremy went hog wild with his camera and submitted more than 200 photos from his day at the museum, which went down with his trusty son Cam by his side. We’re suckers for old piston airplane engines and this gallery has a bunch of them featured. There are radials, big eight and twelve cylinder jobs as well as some stuff we can’t even identify.
This gallery is an awesome way to escape from the suckery of work for a while so hit the link below and take a trip to the Northeast Classic Car Museum!
MUSEUM GALLERY: THE NORTHEAST CLASSIC CAR MUSEUM SUMMER EXHIBIT
The orange McCullough blower must be under the hood of the Packard Hawk.
Nice Sharknose Graham, too!
where is this museum??
The museum is in Norwich NY, right off Rt12, and the huffer was on an Avanti Stude
The Supercharger is a Paxton VS60 and is on the White Avanti. Notice the stainless sheetmetal covering the distributor and plug wires. Needed on a fiberglass car.
